Labor’s left faction continues push to reshape Israel policy

News24 political contributor Chris Uhlmann says Labor’s position on Israel has gradually changed over time amid continued pressure from the party’s left faction. “We’ve certainly seen the latest Iteration from the Labor Party’s conference of the push which has been coming from the left forever,” Mr Uhlmann told News24 host Peta Credlin. “As long as I can remember there’s always been a debate over how the wording should be on the Labor Party’s attitude to the state of Israel. “Now what we’ve seen is it get chipped away at time and time again at these conferences.”
