Iraq mission nears end as US announces full military withdrawal after 20 years

Filmmaker Ami Horowitz reacts to the US military announcing the withdrawal of forces from Iraq by the end of September. “We have done an incredibly good job training their soldiers, and that was kind of the main threat that the Iraqi State and the American troops had to combat,” Mr Horowitz told News24 host Rita Panahi. “I think we’ve done an incredible job there as well. And I also want to point out the difference between this and Afghanistan. There was no plan with Afghanistan; we left a state that was in complete disarray.”
