The Australian columnist Tom Switzer says Iran is more likely to be hardline as they face an existential threat from the United States. “This regime is more likely to be hardline because they feel that their backs are against the wall,” Mr Switzer told News24 host Chris Kenny. “From the regime’s perspective, they are facing an existential threat. “They will play hardball; they will eat grass if they have to to wait out the Americans.”
