FDD Iran Program Senior Director and Senior Fellow Behnam Ben Taleblu claims he doesn’t see evidence of the Iranian regime being unable to pay its IRGC soldiers. “I don’t see evidence that the regime can’t pay their soldiers,” he told News24 Digital Presenter James Bolt. “It’s looking to make cuts elsewhere.” Mr Ben Taleblu said the US sanctions on Iran are the “start of the one, two punch body blow”.
