Iran quietly rebuilds ballistic missile programme after Trump claimed it was ‘destroyed’

Iran is reportedly rebuilding its ballistic missile programme from underground facilities, threatening to undermine Trump’s claims of victory. Multiple officials told the Wall Street Journal that Tehran has resumed producing liquid- and solid-propellant ballistic missiles. The reported comeback is a major blow to claims Operation Epic Fury “functionally destroyed” Iran’s missile capabilities. US officials previously claimed 85 per cent of Iran’s defence industrial base had been destroyed during the bombing campaign. The White House did not deny the latest report, instead insisting Trump is closely monitoring Iran and has “eyes on their every move."
