Iran offers $30,000 for anyone able to kill or capture US troops

News24 Defence Analyst Peter Jennings warns an Iranian bounty on American soldiers could dramatically raise the danger facing US forces in Iraq and Syria. “I think it probably raises risk levels for American troops based in other countries in the Middle East,” Mr Jennings told News24 host Chris Kenny. “There never has been, by declaration, American forces in Iran itself. “The real place I would be concerned about is American Troops in Iraq, American Troops in Syria; militant groups might feel tempted to see if they can get some of that bounty by going after them in those locations. “I think it’s something that needs to be taken seriously.”
