Iceland is deliberating whether the country should negotiate again to join the European Union. Early polling suggests 51.3 per cent are in favour of joining, while 48.7 per cent are opposed. Iceland's Prime Minister told local news agencies in April he believes there must be a “balanced discussion” regarding the referendum. Around 270,000 citizens will be part of the decision to restart negotiations to join the European Union.
