New South Wales Police is rolling out a new armed unit to combat terror threats. The Armed Response Command was initiated in the wake of the Bondi shooting last year. Officers from the unit are in the final stages of training and will be deployed on the streets in the coming weeks. Armed with high-powered rifles, they will be deployed at potential terror targets such as mass gatherings or near places of worship.
