Hastie upgrades security at his office and home amid surge of abuse

Liberal MP Andrew Hastie admits he’s copped “all sorts of abuse” and it’s caused him to upgrade security at his office and home. “The word traitor has a very specific meaning in the context in which it was used in that video eight times,” Mr Hastie told News24 host Sharri Markson. “I’ve had all sorts of abuse from people who’ve seen that video and beforehand. I’ve had to have security upgraded at my office and my house. “This is a very serious matter, and I’m not backing down.”
