‘Has to go much harder’: Trump underestimated Iran

Sky News Defence Analyst Peter Jennings argues Donald Trump underestimated the conflict, warning Iran is forcing the US towards a more costly military campaign involving greater casualties. “I think Trump came into the start of this particular conflict thinking, wow, this military stuff is quite easy,” Mr Jennings told Sky News host James Morrow. “Now Trump realises that to achieve his military goals he’s got to go in much harder and he’s reluctant to do it because that means casualties, that means ground fighting. “I think they’re going to drag it and him along for as long as they possibly can.”
