In a letter written by King Charles, he asserted that Harry and Meghan were “private citizens” and are still “no longer working members of the Royal Family”. According to The Express, the spokesperson claimed the Sussexes “were a little surprised not to have been told this in advance”. Buckingham Palace hit back at the spokesperson’s remarks, claiming the couple were given notice before Charles released the letter publicly.
