Hanson exposes the shocking economic management of the Albanese government

News24 host Andrew Bolt accuses the Albanese Government of refusing to abandon its tobacco tax policy despite the growth of Australia’s illegal cigarette market. “Today another fascinating example of Pauline Hanson setting the political agenda in a way the Liberals just can't and in doing so exposing the shocking economic management of the Albanese government,” Mr Bolt said. “One nation to cut tobacco tax to smash organised crime and when she means cut that tobacco tax she's not kidding. She wants to slash the tax on tobacco by 75 per cent. “Criminals moved in with illegal cigarettes smuggled from overseas, costing less than half the price. That's such a no brainer than 80 per cent of tobacco now sold to Australian is illegal tobacco, not the legal stuff that the government taxes. “Even today, Treasurer Chalmers wouldn't dump his disastrous policy, as if it was more important to deny Hanson any credit than do Australia any good.”
