Heads of national football associations are questioning FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s fitness to govern after a three and a half hour council meeting. Mr Infantino began the meeting by apologising for failing to consult them over the now-abandoned World Cup sell-off plan. However, he failed to answer many questions posed by European football associations on multiple issues. This includes the FIFA Peace Prize awarded to US President Donald Trump and why a US striker had his suspension overturned at this year’s World Cup.
