Former Assistant Attorney General Theo Wold recounts the Trump administration’s efforts to deport Jakiw Palij, a former Nazi SS guard who entered the United States after World War II using false information on his paperwork. “When I worked in the White House, one of the first cases I worked on, sort of an effort I led in the White House, was to remove the last living Nazi in the United States,” Mr Wold told News24 host Elizabeth Pipko. “A man by the name of Jakiw Palij, who entered America just shortly after World War II and lied on his paperwork. “He actually received refugee status coming into the United States when the reality was that he was an SS guard at one of the death camps in Europe. “Jakiw Palij was known to past presidential administrations. They did nothing to enforce the law and to remove him from the United States. “It was the Trump White House who said, no ... we're going to enforce the law.”
