Display of ‘bromance’ on surface but ‘tension’ underneath predicted between Xi-Trump at summit

​News24 Washington Correspondent Jonathan Kearsley says there will be a display of “bromance” between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping when they meet at the upcoming AI summit. ​“On the surface, there’s going to be a lot of hugs and handshakes and glorious ceremony, but beneath it there’s tension obviously between these two superpowers,” Mr Kearsley told News24 host Sharri Markson. ​“That’s not going to change between these two superpowers, whether the meal is steak or whether it’s chicken.”
