A Democratic candidate from Hawaii was knocked unconscious following an expletive-filled confrontation with beachgoers. The confrontation began after Hawaii Democratic congressional candidate and US House candidate Kirill Basin approached beachgoers on Maui. One of the female beachgoers called Basin a “child”, causing the candidate to allegedly threaten to put one of the women “in the f***ing hospital”. Eventually, a large man, identified as Kama Homan, intervened and the two men began scuffling. Homan threw a punch at Basin, forcing the Democrat to retreat before he was hit once again by the large man. Basin attempted to throw a chair at Homan, but the large man intercepted the attack and threw a punch at the candidate, knocking him out.
