Democratic base drifts further and further away from Kamala Harris

​Activist and podcaster Adela Cojab believes the Democratic base is gradually distancing itself from former US vice president Kamala Harris. ​“I think Kamala realised that she’s in touch with her own base, and for that, she has to move further left,” Ms Cojab told News24 host James Morrow. ​“The Democratic base is itself moving away from her. ​“Mary Peltola, who's a Democrat in Alaska running for Senate, actually just moves away from a Kamala Harris endorsement, so I don’t think this is going to go anywhere.”
