‘Deliberately reckless’: Sharri Markson blasts Penny Wong over incorrect claims

News24 host Sharri Markson accuses Foreign Minister Penny Wong of using reckless and inflammatory language after confronting Israel’s ambassador over the decision not to pursue criminal charges over the death of Australian aid worker Zomi Frankom. “Penny Wong, who today hauled in the Israeli ambassador to berate him over news that Israel wouldn't pursue criminal charges over the tragic but accidental death of Australian aid worker Zomi Frankom in a war zone,” Ms Markson said. “Now, Penny Wong claimed inaccurately that this was an Israeli Government decision - we know she hates Benjamin Netanyahu. “The Israeli government can't command the judiciary to charge someone, just like Albanese can't ask our judicial system to imprison someone. “Penny Wong, of course, would know this, which means her language is deliberately reckless and inflammatory.”
