Debate erupts over tech in classrooms as reports reveal decline in attention and literacy

News24 host Danica De Giorgio says she’s “not in favour” of laptops and iPads being removed from classrooms due to declining NAPLAN results and lack of concentration among Australian students. “I think that laptops or any sot of technology in the classroom is very important to equip children with digital literacy that they will need to take into their adult years,” Ms De Giorgio said. “The reality is we live in a technological advanced world. We’ve got to get with the times … I actually think it can be a very, very good resource.”
