‘Crazy story’: Trump secretly switched planes amid Iranian assassination threat

​Newsweek Senior Editor-at-Large Josh Hammer says US President Donald Trump secretly swapping planes as he left a Turkish NATO summit is a “crazy story”. ​“Far be for me to assess the level of the threat, but the fact that the Secret Service felt compelled to do this whole bait and switch, this whole decoy, indicates that it was at least a semi-serious threat,” Mr Hammer told News24 Digital Presenter Gabriella Power. ​“That’s no joke. ​“Donald Trump has quite literally been within millimetres of being assassinated on national and global television. ​“It’s a pretty crazy story.”
