​News24 US analyst Michael Ware argues the core goals of the American war with Iran were never “well defined” to the public, Congress, and “possibly” in US President Trump’s head. ​“The original fig leaf was to say we’re going in to destroy their nuclear infrastructure, which we allegedly destroyed last year in June,” Mr Ware told News24 Digital Presenter Gabriella Power. ​“Now the Iranians have very skilfully shifted the centre of gravity of this way away from their nuclear development and onto their home soil where they’re strongest, and this is now about the Strait of Hormuz."
