News24 host James Macpherson reacts to CNN panellists clash over polling showing 45 per cent of Michigan voters would not consider a Muslim presidential candidate. “CNN Host Dana Bash said it was gross that people would not vote for a Muslim. If people said they wouldn't vote for a woman, or a black person or for an Egyptian, that would be gross,” Mr Macpherson said. ”But a Muslim, just like a Christian, or an atheist, for that matter, is a person who holds a particular worldview. I would have thought taking a person's worldview into account would be a pretty important part of deciding who to vote for. “We've not got this strange situation where people saying they would never vote for a person who subscribes to Islam is gross, but people saying they would never vote for a candidate who subscribes to Christianity is unremarkable.”
