China’s rise is the world’s true geopolitical threat and must be contained

​Australian columnist Tom Switzer argues that the world's true geopolitical threat is the rise of China. ​“I think the big post-Cold War thesis that is going to become more relevant over the next few decades is John Mearsheimer’s ‘The Tragedy of Great Power Politics’,” Mr Switzer told News24 host Chris Kenny. ​“This is that China’s rise is really the big geopolitical threat facing our region, potentially the world, and America, as the running hegemon, will go to great lengths to make sure that China is constrained. ​“Let's hope he’s right.”
