Assistant Foreign Affairs Minister Matt Thistlethwaite says Australian officials are on the ground in Kathmandu providing “as much support” as possible. “Obviously a very fluid situation at the moment. The region's been devastated,” Mr Thistlethwaite told News24. “Our officials on the ground in Kathmandu are trying to get as close to the affected region as possible to provide as much support to those families and to the unaccounted-for Australians.”
