Atlético Madrid fans stand with Ceuta following Real Madrid players' t-shirt defiance

Atlético Madrid fans declared their solidarity with Ceuta during the Madrid derby in the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium. On Sunday, Atletico and Real Madrid played out their first derby of the La Liga season, with the home side winning 2-1. During the game, Atletico fans shouted “Ceuta is not for sale, Ceuta is defended” following the invasion of the Spanish enclave. Several fans at the stadium also displayed a banner in the 13th minute that read, “Ceuta is Spain. It is neither rolled up nor covered”. The banner referred to Real Madrid stars Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Ibrahima Konate refusing to wear shirts with a message of solidarity with Ceuta.
