Adults accused of politicising children as VIC prepares for student anti-Hanson protest

Liberal Senator Alex Antic raises concerns about the politicisation of children by adults as Victoria prepares for a student anti-Pauline Hanson march during school time. “Why are kids protesting things that they don’t really, I think, have a proper grasp over? And why are they being encouraged to do it by adults? Kids need to be in schools,” Mr Antic told News24 host Rowan Dean. ​“The worrying trend of children being politicised for matters that I think clearly are outside the remit of school time. ​“Kids are allowed to have a view on all sorts of things, but quite why it is they’re taking time out of their learning, which is what they are there to do, to go and hit the streets. ​“It’s a very worrying trend for the state of the political minds of our kids.”
