While James takes a well-earned break, Steve and Ian discuss how US tech companies Dell and Palo Alto Networks beat forecasts but expectations continue to run ahead. They also recap a number of UK companies raising margin guidance this week, from distributor Bunzl to industrial LED installer Dialight, upmarket car dealer Motorpoint and specialist component maker TT Electronics. There's also a moment of reflection as Gamma Communications becomes the latest UK company to be snapped up in the 'clearance sale' of UK mid-caps, shrinking the pool of available investments further still.
