How I Knew ES Would Take the Prior Day's Low (71% Stat) | edgeful

When ES and NQ open inside the prior day's range, price has broken out 83-84% of the time over the last six months. The real question is which side. Here's how I used the inside bars report and edgeful AI to know ES was going to take the prior day's low on Monday, September 28. Both ES and NQ opened inside Friday's New York session range. The inside bars report shows NQ broke out of the prior day's range 84% of the time when it opened inside it, and ES 83%. That tells you to expect a break, but not the direction. NQ answered first. It took the prior day's low in the first few minutes of the session while ES kept chopping inside the range. So at 10:20 I asked edgeful AI: every time NQ took the previous session's low, what did ES do? Over six months, ES also took the low almost 70% of the time, but that was only 13 occurrences. So I checked the last year: 77 occurrences, and ES broke the low 71% of the time. ES broke the prior day's range at 10:40. That's the confluence. The 83% says a breakout is likely. NQ plus the edgeful AI stat says which side. I also break down the inside bars report by weekday: Mondays that opened inside Friday's range broke out 87% of the time (16 occurrences), and Wednesdays sit at 93% on ES.
