You can do this by setting parked market orders to activate right before the close of a trading session or after the open. You can also use parked time-release orders to enter orders during off-market hours, such as over the weekend to become active prior to the market opening. While the DeCarley Trader will do this automatically in most cases, you may need to do it manually if you enter orders too far in advance of the market open. 00:00 What are parked orders and why would you need them? 03:00 Being aware of market open and close times via the contract specifications tab 05:00 Placing a parked order to create a Market on Close (MOC) 06:55 Setting custom parked orders, specifically the day and time of activation 09:00 The importance of the DAY vs GTC tag when using parked orders 09:30 Viewing, canceling, modifying the parked order from the Orders widget 12:35 Grain session pauses and closes making it more likely to need to use parked orders and time-release activation for convenience purposes 14:00 Placing a time-released limit (or stop) order over the weekend while markets are closed and servers aren't accepting orders 16:30 Generic parked order with activation to be determined at a later date or time 17:05 Submitting a generically parked order, then setting a working order back to parked status 17:55 Sign up for a FREE DEMO of the DeCarley Trader
