Thousands of police deployed across New Delhi ahead of mass protest over voter roll

Heavy security in New Delhi ahead of more protests tomorrow, with mass demonstrations expected on the weekend. Some 20,000 police are being deployed across the Indian capital. Student groups have joined opposition lawmakers, demanding the resignation of the top election official over allegations of manipulation of voter rolls. Close to a year of changes has led to 130 million entries being removed. Protesters are calling for the revisions to be scrapped and the restoration of previous voter lists. The election commission and government say the process is still incomplete and have rejected allegations of manipulation. Neha Poonia reports from New Delhi.
