Singapore will raise its retirement age to 65 and re-employment age to 70 from 1 Jan 2029, a year earlier than planned. The move is among six recommendations by a tripartite workgroup on senior employment that have been accepted by the government. A new Flexi-Load Programme will also help employers offer more flexible jobs to workers aged 50 and above, while enhanced tax relief and wage support for older workers are being considered.
