New measures to strengthen HR capabilities as AI reshapes workplaces

Singapore's human resource profession is being strengthened to help workers build meaningful careers, as AI reshapes jobs. From July 2028, firms with more than 200 employees will need to have at least one certified HR professional. It is among five recommendations from a tripartite workgroup that have been accepted by the government. The measures aim to benefit more than two million workers and support at least 2,000 companies.
