Malaysia politics: Pakatan Harapan coalition accepts defeat in Negeri Sembilan polls

In Malaysia, Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan chief Aminuddin Harun has accepted the coalition’s defeat in the state polls, although the Election Commission has yet to announce the official results. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated Barisan Nasional on its victory in the Negeri Sembilan state election. In a Facebook post, Mr Anwar said the federal government remains committed to working closely with the new state administration and will continue to support Negeri Sembilan's development for the benefit of its people.
