Indonesia probes alleged luxury facilities for inmates at West Java prison

A surprise inspection at Cibinong prison in Indonesia on Sep 23 uncovered more than 10 residential units equipped with sofas, air-conditioning, TVs and fridges. The Indonesian Ombudsman alleged that inmates paid to stay in the special accommodation, which Immigration and Corrections officials said was originally meant to house prison staff.
