Global timekeeping: Leap second being phased out

The world is getting ready to do away with the leap second. Timekeeping authorities agreed to stop making tiny adjustments to the world's clocks at a meeting of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures in France. The change will take effect on May 20 next year, which is World Metrology Day. Ross Cullen reports.
