The UAE says the co-pilot of flydubai flight FZ1073 tried to carry out a terrorist act when he attacked the captain with an axe in the cockpit, while attempting to seize control of the plane. The flight on Sep 30 was travelling from Dubai to Tel Aviv. The UAE says investigations are continuing into the co-pilot’s motive and whether he had any links to others.
