Chinese President Xi says US, China agreed to add new substance to relationship

Speaking in front of the media at the White House Red Room, US President Donald Trump who was hosting Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Mdm Peng Liyuan for a tea session says the US and China have made "tremendous strides" that are very positive for both countries with Mr Xi's visit to the US. President Xi in turn said both sides agreed to add new substance to their bilateral relationship that it will be a constructive one of strategic stability on the basis of respect, fairness and reciprocity. He also invited Trump to meet him at the APEC meeting in Shenzhen, China in November, which the US President accepted.
