Seven in 10 women polled in a new study in Singapore believe that taking a career break makes it harder to find suitable work when they wish to return. Acting Manpower Minister Jasmin Lau says that a pause in careers should not close doors. And workplaces need to recognise that careers do not always follow a straight path - particularly for women who step away to care for their children or ageing parents. Hoon Jeng Jee reports.
