Livestock futures traded lower across the board on the first trading day of September. October Live Cattle futures fell $0.60 to $212.07, even as wholesale boxed beef prices firmed, with Choice cuts up $2.20 to $378.02 and Select cuts gaining $2.17 to $360.66. October Feeder Cattle futures also faced selling pressure, dropping $1.62 to settle at $315.40. Meanwhile, October Lean Hog futures edged down $0.02 to close at $83.65 after trading in a $1.00 range.
