Live Cattle futures surged to their highest close since September 14, supported by firm wholesale boxed beef prices and steady cash market strength. Choice cuts rose $4.20 while daily slaughter reached 105,000 head. Feeder Cattle futures saw even larger gains, with the November contract rallying $8.15 to hit a nearly three-month high. In hog markets, December Lean Hog futures slipped $0.57 to $70.37 as prices gave back recent gains.
