CMC Markets2 months ago15:36

Markets head into a high-impact midweek window dominated by central banks, inflation and mega-cap earnings. Wednesday brings the US Federal Reserve’s rate decision (7pm, UK time), with chair Jay Powell’s swansong expected to see borrowing costs left unchanged. Also landing today are results from Alphabet, Amazon, Meta and Microsoft. On Thursday we’ll get the Bank of England and ECB decisions, alongside Apple’s results and US PCE inflation and GDP updates. Friday’s ISM data rounds out the week. With oil prices creeping higher again and inflation risks back in focus, markets could be sensitive to the signals put out by central bank governors and the guidance offered by big tech.
