Editor's note: September 10 marks China's Teachers' Day, a time to celebrate the teachers who shape and inspire generations. In this episode of Beyond ACG, we meet comic artist and educator Ruan Junting, who reflects on what it truly means to help students become themselves. On her very first day as a teacher, Ruan Junting was caught off guard by a student's question: "If I don't want to become someone like you, do I still need to learn this?" The question stayed with her for years, prompting her to reconsider what it means to teach, and what kind of person she wanted to be. Ruan began drawing comics at 14 and has spent over two decades teaching art at the China Academy of Art. For years, she struggled between her artistic ambitions and the practical need to make a living. But her experiences with students gradually changed the way she understood art and education. 📺 Subscribe to our YouTube channel and stay updated with our latest analysis and interviews:👇 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgrNz-aDmcr2uuto8_DL2jg 👈 Download our APP on Apple Store (iOS): https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cctvnews-app/id922456579?l=zh&ls=1&mt=8 Download our APP on Google Play (Android): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.imib.cctv For more: https://www.cgtn.com/video Most watched videos: Impossible Challenge: 30 seconds to count banknotes BLINDFOLDED https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmP_Ybj-jws Impossible Challenge: Gymnastics Boy Arat Hosseini from Iran! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sxX--U4c8w Impossible Challenge: How to calm babies in 5 seconds? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kR3q9sXM7WA
