The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the four major traditional festivals in China, carrying rich Chinese cultural connotations and historical memories. A full moon embodies the common cultural identity of the Chinese people at home and abroad. In this video, Shahnoza Amirbekova, a student from Tajikistan, shares the customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival, like moongazing, eating mooncakes and enjoying lanterns. Shahnoza believes that the emotions conveyed by the Mid-Autumn Festival can be felt by people all over the world. No matter where they come from, people always have someone they miss, she says.
