Meet Beixia, the first giant panda to have a crooked jaw corrected with braces. Chinese specialists have successfully corrected the panda's jaw asymmetry using an orthodontic technique adapted from human treatment, marking the first procedure of its kind performed on the species. The treatment, jointly carried out by the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and West China Hospital of Stomatology, restored Beixia's ability to bite and chew normally.
