Sakolsky and Yin Yuzhen: When a CGTN's report took root

In 1999, two videographers from CCTV-News (now CGTN), Wang Xiaofei and Li Si'en documented Chinese tree planter Yin Yuzhen's battle against the desert. It was through this broadcast that Ronald Sakolsky, then an American high school history teacher, first saw Yin Yuzhen's story. He was inspired to raise a sizable donation for Yin's tree-planting efforts. Today, the two videographers returned to the scene.
