Not ready to call it quits: PLA veteran asks to continue serving

Xue Wei is a missile launch operator. In 2025, he celebrated his 30th year of military service. Although he had reached retirement eligibility, he was willing to remain on active duty. In his request to extend his service, he recalled the memorable scenes in the past three decades at the launching sites. "I don't want my military career to end," he said. "I hereby solemnly request to continue my service."
