Since its launch in 2015, the New Development Bank (NDB) has backed more than 120 projects with over $40 billion in financing, supporting development across BRICS countries. Alessandro Teixeira, former special economic adviser to the Brazilian president, serves as a senior adviser to the president of the New Development Bank. He says the NDB is helping close infrastructure financing gaps while supporting the energy transition, climate action and digital development.
