Long March revisited: The last of 18 mountains

Liupan Mountain is the 18th and final major mountain the Central Red Army crossed during the Long March. Nearly one  year into the Long March, the soldiers had barely any rest along the way. Following the victory at the Qingshuizui battle, they forged a path up the mountain. Having crossed this ridge, their destination in northern Shaanxi lay close ahead.
