The 2026 China-US Youth Exchange (Hainan-Hawaii Sister State) program kicked off on July 20, welcoming 12 students and teachers from Hawaii for a cultural journey in south China's Hainan Province. The group explored local traditions through bamboo dancing, Chinese painting and Hainan rice noodle making, and learned to sing Chinese folk songs. They boarded a sightseeing cruise to enjoy the provincial capital Haikou's coastline and skyline, experiencing the leisurely lifestyle of the tropical island.
