The combination of displacement and limited access to healthcare is a major concern in responding to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), said Allen Maina, chief of the Public Health Section at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. These factors can make case detection and contact tracing more difficult and further limit access to healthcare. Speaking to CGTN's Health Talk, Maina said more support is needed for the DRC, as the country remains far from containing the outbreak. Maina highlighted China's role in advancing South-South cooperation, citing its action plan for Africa under the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. He praised China's efforts to train people in areas hosting refugees and share experience and technologies to help countries respond to disease outbreaks and strengthen essential primary healthcare. "We see health as an investment, not just as an expenditure," he stressed. 📺 Subscribe to our YouTube channel and stay updated with our latest analysis and interviews:👇 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgrNz-aDmcr2uuto8_DL2jg 👈 Download our APP on Apple Store (iOS): https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cctvnews-app/id922456579?l=zh&ls=1&mt=8 Download our APP on Google Play (Android): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.imib.cctv For more: https://www.cgtn.com/video Most watched videos: Impossible Challenge: 30 seconds to count banknotes BLINDFOLDED https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmP_Ybj-jws Impossible Challenge: Gymnastics Boy Arat Hosseini from Iran! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sxX--U4c8w Impossible Challenge: How to calm babies in 5 seconds? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kR3q9sXM7WA
